I first read about this on Magic of Miles, but apparently Hyatt is sending out emails with a link to a free 1000 Hyatt Gold Passport points. It appears to be somewhat targeted, perhaps to Hyatt card holders, though Melinda from Magic of Miles also suggested that it might be related to her Diamond status.
To get your 1,000 free Hyatt Gold Passport points, you can check your email, or try entering in your account information at the promo page. I entered my information and was told that I was not eligible for the promotion, which was expected as I am not a Hyatt cardholder (yet!)
I am not a Hyatt Diamond member either, though I had tossed around the idea of taking Hyatt up on its “Diamond Challenge”, though the Hyatt Diamond Challenge has been discontinued as of a few weeks ago. I am not sure if they will ever bring the Diamond Challenge back, though I tossed around some ideas of what a new Diamond Challenge might look like.
