Check your email! I woke up this morning to find an email from Bank of America with a nice bonus offer for spending on my Alaska Visa card. The offer email states:
“Earn 2 additional miles (up to 2,500 bonus miles) for every dollar you spend on qualifying hotels, car rentals, ridesharing, taxi cabs and limousines when you use your Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card.”

The offer is valid from when you activate it through March 31, 2017. Also, be aware that the terms state that the offer is voided if you product switch your Alaska card to another BofA card within the timeframe of the offer, even if have put spend on your card that would earn the bonus miles.
Because it says “2 additional miles”, it sounds like spending in those categories should earn 3x miles total, which is really cool. You can usually get at least 2 cents out of each Alaska mile (and often far more), so this will get potentially get you a return of at least 6 cents per dollar.
The bonus is capped at 2,500 bonus miles, which equates to $1,250 in spending. I normally don’t put a lot of spending on my Alaska Visa, but I certainly will in the next couple months, at least in these categories!
