Hilton Honors is teaming up with Live Nation to launch a new program available through the Hilton Honors experiences platform. In case you’re not familiar, Hilton Honors experiences is how you can redeem your Hilton points for a number of interesting events or other unique culinary, behind-the-scenes or VIP experiences. The program is analogous to SPG Moments and Marriott Rewards Moments.

Redeem your Honors points for lawn concerts

There are about 120 concerts available through Hilton Honors Lawn Days. To see what is offered, head to Hilton Honors experiences, click on “Lawn Days”, and then click on the “Auctions button in the list. This is confusing to me since the experiences aren’t actually an auction, but it’s how I found the full list.

Bands available through Lawn Days include Brad Paisley, Pentatonix, Foreigner, Rascal Flatts, Charlie Puth and others. Tickets are only 10,000 Honors points for a pair. Note that you do have to redeem for a set of two tickets in every case. And yes, these are seats on the grass. But they are still seats.

The question in the back of my mind for a redemption like this is…what is the value? I might not mind burning my Hilton points for something besides a hotel stay, but I’d like to ensure I’m getting more than 0.5 cents per point in that case. Preferably more than 0.8 cents per point.

I picked the Pentatonix concert in Mountain View as my first example. For 10,000 Honors points, you get two lawn tickets valued at $25 each plus fees. There is a lawn 4-pack available, though, where tickets are $18.75 a piece. Using the $25 value and including the ticket processing fees, you’re essentially getting 0.66 cents per point, which is actually above my base valuation of Honors points. This is only one example, but it is enough to convince me that there could be some decent redemptions in the mix.

Conclusion

If you’re flush with Hilton points and interested in spending a summer evening attending one of the concerts available through “Lawn Days”, this might be a great way to do so for free.
