Singapore Airlines has a very good deal from Los Angeles to the largest cities of India or Indonesia: Mumbai and Jakarta. Both routes price as low as $849 for travel in March on early week departures. These fares are several hundred dollars cheaper than normal, an unusual sale for PE seats.
For mileage run purposes the Mumbai route returns 22,400 miles, with Jakarta providing 18,400; turnaround can be as short as a 2-day stay for either city. The picture above is from the dummy booking I created to test this. I entered everything but my payment info. As often happens, this deal is moving quickly, though as of right now I can still find similar pricing for 3 days in March. What problems did you have with booking?
