The fare war which has been simmering all year has exploded into major deals to Australia from across the country! Verified fares can be found for as low as $524, and at least a dozen cities are pricing in the $500 – $750 range, round trip. All can be booked directly with the airlines, or in some cases trusted OTAs. Sydney is the most popular destination, but Melbourne and Brisbane will appear in many searches at these prices as well.
Sale fares are available from February through November, though July dates seems to be drying up quickly. A short list of cities with 7-day round trip fares includes:
- Los Angeles – $523
- New York: $639
- Chicago – $585
- Phoenix: $581
- Dallas $587
- Houston: $586
- Denver: $586
- San Diego: $681
- San Francisco: $720
- St. Louis: $720
- Kansas City: $721
- Austin: $721
- Columbus: $744
- Baltimore: $784
There are even more cities available at similar or slightly higher prices, with only the southeast seemingly unavailable. Given the volatile nature of these prices, this sale will end quickly! Act now before these prices disappear.

I keep seeing these amazing deals into Australia. As a Sydney resident I think it’s super exciting.
Dan, your list of things to do is short and I know it can’t be long.
In terms of time in Sydney the real jewel in the Sydney basin is a region called Northern Beaches. The southern end is Manly, easily reached by ferry from the city and that’s a great place to start to explore the northern beaches, which BTW, is a coastal area with over 20 sandy surf beaches.
Manly itself can be a day trip and even if you don’t go further north, I can guarantee you’ll love Manly.
