We always talk about the overwater bungalows – the most famous ones are the ones at the Intercontinental Bora Bora
When people talk about getting the Chase IHG credit card that comes with 2 free nights – this is one of the places that they always talk about staying at.
And who can blame them – it looks pretty cool!
But I recently saw an article about an UNDER water bungalow that is in the planning stages!
Poseidon Underwater Resorts is a resort in planning in Fiji.
I gotta say that looks pretty cool, but I’d be REALLY concerned about some sort of structural fault and catastrophic room flood / death. According to the website, “The resort is built to rigid safety requirements with high levels of structural integrity, large safety factors and fully redundant fail-safe systems. Each room is completely isolated from the central hall and other rooms with a double pressure proof door system and independent emergency life support systems.”, though I’m not sure that makes me feel THAT much better 🙂
Like this post and need more?!!? Have you seen PWaC's most popular posts? Like how to destroy a metal credit card? Or how to get a live chat with American Express? Or why someone told me that I was "the type of person that shouldn't have children". And many more awesome posts?
Not to mention the price range is about $15,000 / night, which for someone who won’t even shell out $300 to get 2 free nights, might be a BIT out of my league. It’s also been in “planning” since 2001 or so, so I’m not sure it will ever get built…
What about you – does this look interesting?

Ya, I agree with you about the “it’s been in-planning since 2001, so unsure if it will ever get built.”
I keep hearing about this thing and keep thinking maybe it exists but nope. Every time it’s still “in planning”.
