Right now, IHG is offering to status match you based on your status at a number of hotels.  You’ll get your upgraded status at IHG for 90 days as part of the match!  During that time you’ll be able to complete a certain number of stays to keep your status for the remainder of the year and all of 2020.

You’ll have to fill out the form here and wait for approval from IHG (up to 14 days).  This status match will be available through June 30th.  Right now, they’re allowing you to match from the following hotel brands:

  • AccorHotels (Le Club Accor)
  • Best Western (Best Western Rewards)
  • Ceasars Entertainment (Ceasars Rewards)
  • Choice Hotels (Choice Privileges)
  • Hilton (Hilton Honors)
  • Hyatt (World of Hyatt)
  • Marriott (Marriott Bonvoy)
  • NH Hotel Group (NH Rewards)
  • Radisson (Radisson Rewards)
  • Wyndham (Wyndham Rewards)

Hotel status is great for upgrades, late check out, and other small benefits when you’re on the road.  I already have IHG Platinum Elite status from the old Chase IHG Mastercard.  Since I don’t have any top tier status at the other hotels, guess I’m stuck at the Platinum level!
