While on a trip to Halifax, I visited the Plaza Premium Terminal 1 D Gates YYZ Priority Pass lounge. In this YYZ Priority Pass Plaza Premium Toronto D Gates ounge review, I’ll run through the food, wifi speed, seating and other lounge amenities so you can decide if this is worth a visit on your next trip to Toronto.
Plaza Premium YYZ Priority Pass location, access and hours
There are actually 6 different Plaza Premium lounges in the YYZ airport, and you’ll have . We were in the YYZ Terminal 1 Domestic Plaza Premium lounge – the D gates for flights within Canada. The Priority Pass YYZ Plaza Premium lounge is located just past security screening on Domestic Departures Level 3 of Toronto’s YYZ airport. The D gates are for departures from Toronto to other areas within Canada. In our case, we were going from Toronto to Halifax.
Once you either clear immigration (if you’re entering Toronto) or clear security (if you’re originating in Toronto), you’ll see the entrance to the lounge.

The Toronto Plaza Premium lounge is accessible to holders of a Priority Pass membership. The Plaza Premium Toronto Airport hours are from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
When I last visited, it was around 12pm, and there was a short wait before we were admitted.
Priority Pass YYZ Plaza Premium seating
The Priority Pass YYZ Plaza Premium lounge review does not a ton of seating in the lounge. The website claims room for 110 people, but I’m not sure that’s true. Here are a few pictures – as you can see it was quite crowded.

The Plaza Premium Lounge YYZ D Gates is also the contract lounge for Etihad – so they have space reserved for Etihad First and Business Class passengers.

That was taking up quite a bit of the available space :-).

Plaza Premium YYZ Priority Pass D Gates food
The Toronto YYZ Airport Plaza Premium lounge actually has a food spread that is above average for most domestic airport lounges (yes, I know Canada isn’t “domestic”). In addition to a variety of cold foods, there is also a small selection of hot food as well.

There is also a small bar with a variety of different alcoholic beverages

And an area with self-serve soft drinks and juices

They also have a “Lounge to Go” menu where you can take some food to go if you can’t stay or aren’t able to be admitted due to capacity constraints.

Plaza Premium Priority Pass YYZ wifi speed and amenities
The Plaza Premium YYZ lounge wifi speed was actually quite fast

I had no problems with wifi speed, as you might imagine
The Bottom Line
All in all, with airport lounges, you kind of get what you get (generally an airport lounge is going to at least be a step up from the terminal), but I was pleased with my experience with the Plaza Premium Priority Pass YYZ D Gates lounge
