Saw a funny article the other day on Yahoo Travel about the most ridiculous landmarks in all 50 states. Now of course, ridiculous is a subjective term, but some of these were pretty interesting, from the 2 story outhouse to the world’s largest jackalope statue
I have been to 2 of them – the large blue mustang statue outside Denver’s airport terminal and Big Bone Lick state park in Kentucky. Ohio’s is some giant ears of corn in Dublin, which I have not been to. It’s too bad that the giant “Touchdown Jesus” statue burned down a few years ago, or I could have counted a 3rd.
How about you? How many of these have YOU been to? Any other ridiculous landmarks that you’d like to point out?

A city called Intercourse, Pennsylvania. Welcome to Intercourse sign is a must on anyone’s photo album. My next destination will be Dildo in Newfoundland, Canada.
I know they’re not on the list, but whatever.
I did much worse on the Ridiculous list than the Top list you published a few months ago (that was 24 if I recall). Odd, because I really like ridiculous things.
For this one, I have been to 8 (in no particular order): Prada Marfa, Parthenon Nashville, Peachoid Water Tower in Gaffney SC, Intercourse PA, Samantha Statue in Salem MA, Georgia Guidestones, Blucifer (Mustang Statue outside Denver Airport), and the Moore Square Acorn in Raleigh NC.
That’s still better than anyone I’ve seen yet!
As a kid, the family trucked on out to see the Blue Hole in Castalia, Ohio. We got out of the car to see…a hole with blue water. That’s it. Check off the bucket list!
