At the same time that American Airlines is running a sale to Germany, all 3 major U.S. airlines are offering good deals to eastern Europe from several secondary hub airports. Flights to Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and even the Baltic nations are showing at under $600 from cities like Phoenix and Dallas, which are solid prices. These flights are widely available from September through the end of the year. Some examples include:
- Charlotte to Warsaw from $520, and Prague from $529, or Vilnius from $533
- Phoenix to Prague from $538, and Warsaw from $541
- Dallas to Warsaw from $521, Prague from $530, and Krakow from $555
- Philadelphia to Prague from $538, Warsaw from $541, or Budapest from $583
These are basic economy prices, and no matter the airlines involved this includes carry-on and meals. Check with the specific airlines for specific terms. Main cabin rates are additionally ~$140 round trip, depending on airline and route. Prices in this range appear from time to time but are spotty at best, so if a trip to central and eastern Europe is in your future, act now.
