IHG has just launched a new promotion promising a discount of at least 20% off at its hotels around the world. This sale is live now, so if you’re looking to stay anytime soon, head here to book. While it’s nothing crazy, the discount is nice to have and even appears to work- unlike some ‘sales’ that actually cost more than standard hotel prices.
The Details
- Book now through July 31, 2019.
- Valid for stays from May 24- September 15, 2019.
- Must book at least three days in advance.
- Sale is live now for IHG reward members, available to all starting May 21.
- Must prepay in full; rate is non-refundable.
- Not combinable with other discounted rate promotions.
Thoughts
Though IHG gets a lot of flak for its less-than-stellar reward program, I’ve actually had some really good experiences with them. I hold the old IHG credit card that gives you Platinum status and have also purchased Ambassador status for the second year running. To date, my best experiences with this have included an upgrade to a beach bungalow at the Intercontinental Moorea (on an award stay) and an upgrade to a suite at the Intercontinental Amman (again, on an award stay).

If you’re already planning on staying with IHG this summer, this sweetens the pot just that extra little bit. Be careful, though, as room rates are fully prepaid and non-refundable, which means if your plans change you’re totally out. Still, this is a nice bonus to save a couple bucks, so if you’re sure of your travel plans, book!
Is anyone here planning on taking advantage of this?
