This week Southwest Airlines extends its bookable flight schedule to March 2019, and announced seven new routes as well as additional services on popular routes from Dallas Love Field.

Schedule extends through early March

Southwest schedule is now extended through March 6, 2019. If you are looking to travel during the winter months, you might want to book now. Thanks to  Southwest’s amazing cancellation policy., there is no penalty for changing your flight if the price goes down.

7 new nonstop routes from Dallas

Southwest is adding seven new nonstop services from Dallas Love Field (DAL), beginning January 7, 2019, including:

  • Charleston (CHS)
  • Ft. Myers/Naples (RSW)
  • Jacksonville (JAX)
  • Louisville (SDF)
  • Milwaukee (MKE)
  • Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP)
  • Panama City Beach (ECP)

Southwest also plans to increase services to eight existing destinations nonstop from Dallas.

Returning seasonal services from Ft Myers

Southwest is bringing back six seasonal services between Ft Myers and Albany, Buffalo, Cleveland, Kansas City, Nashville and Providence. Services are limited to only Saturday. and Sundays.

Additionally, the nonstop service between Newark (EWR) and Indianapolis (IND) will be replaced with service to Nashville (BNA).

Conclusion

If you have plans to travel during the winter months or to fly any of these new Southwest routes, you might want to book now and just monitor for price drops. Southwest offers fare sales so frequently you can easily get refunds.
