IHG is offering up to 4x IHG points on stays through May 15, 2020. This is very similar to the offer that Cam wrote about last month. Unfortunately, more stays are required to earn the 4x bonus points, but you have a longer window to accumulate points.
Where Do I Sign Up and What Are the Details?
My wife and I both received an email with the subject line, “4X Bonus Points are back!” You can also check the “My Offers” page on the IHG site where you can register with a few clicks. The main details of the offer are highlighted below but if you want to read the full terms and conditions click here.
- You must be an IHG® Rewards Club member.
- You must register for the promotion on or before April 15, 2020
- 1,000 Bonus points will be awarded for your first qualifying stay after registering
- Double points will be awarded for stays 2-5 for up to 100,000 points
- Triple points will be awarded for stays 6-14 for up to 100,000 points
- Quadruple points will be awarded for stays 15+ for up to 100,000 points
- Stays must be booked before April 15, 2020 and consumed between February 15, 2020 and May 15, 2020.
- The maximum bonus points award per member for the promotion is 301,000 points.
It’s at Least Worth Signing Up
This is an easy deal to register for and can help boost your IHG points balance above and beyond what you would earn on a typical stay. That being said it’s not an offer that is going to make me go out of my way to book an IHG property, but it is well worth signing up anyways.

You should be good to go as long as you sign up before your stay!
I will sign up for the offer but if possible I will stay elsewhere to protest IHG’s ending of their Pointsbreaks promo. I signed up for their newer credit card in anticipation of booking rooms for 5 thousand points and now they have said it is no longer available.
It was sad to see that offer go, although it has done this in the past and then come back so there is still hope!

I would assume that you could max out the promotion to the tune of 301,000 points. It all depends because “promotion bonus points will be awarded based upon the average nightly rate during a qualifying stay”.
