American Airlines and their Oneworld partners British Airways and Iberia are hosting a premium economy sale to Barcelona, Spain. Fares under $900 are available from October through next May; that includes Thanksgiving, New Year’s, Carnivale (Mardi Gras), and Spring Break. These prices are available from all of AA’s hubs and mini-hubs. To sweeten the deal, non-stops are included from Miami, Philadelphia, and New York. Non-directs will include short legs in regular economy.

AA generally has the lowest prices, and AA’s long haul PE is a solid choice. Seats are 19″ wide, and 38″ pitch between you and the seat in front. AA’s PE also includes improved catering, headphones, amenity kit, and luggage allowance.

British Airways Word Traveller Plus Premium Economy

British Airlines’ World Traveler Plus is also a great option. Seats are 18.5″ wide with 38″ pitch. Service includes upgraded catering, noise cancelling headphones, and extra luggage allowance.

I’m already a fan of Iberia economy, so Iberia’s premium economy (Tourista Premium) is probably an excellent pick. As you might expect, Iberia includes extra baggage, upgraded catering, larger IFE screen, headphones, and of course larger seats (37″ pitch, 19″ wide).

I’ve mentioned how BA and Iberia premium economy fares can earn you a free flight (or even more), and I think these are superb fares to Spain. These prices won’t be around forever, and I don’t think the New Year’s dates will last beyond the weekend. So if you’re up for a great price to cross the Atlantic in comfort buy now.
