I am looking to book some hotel nights in Sweden for later this summer.

Based on reviews from Loyalty Traveler and others, one of them I had my eye on was the Clarion Hotel Sign hotel in Stockholm. Cash rates are around USD$150, but it is bookable at 10,000 Choice points / night.
Try one – booking
So I went to see what the rates would be for my stay of 4 nights in September
Messing around with the dates seems to indicate that they are currently full on Friday the 1st. Okay, let’s try changing things around
Changing my stay length to one night
So I thought I’d just change the dates to one night. There are definitely rooms available
but if I choose award night, I get nothing
My first thought was that I know that you can only book award stays 60 days out, but September IS 60 days out (right?). So I don’t know what was going on
One night?
So then I thought I’d eliminate that as a factor and I’d book it for one night, next week. There are definitely rooms available, but if I choose Reward Nights I see
I have 20,100 points, and the hotel says that it should be 10,000 points / night
So I don’t know why I can’t seem to book it
Anyone know why I can’t seem to book this Choice Hotel? I’m sure I could call in but wanted to see if I was missing anything obvious

You have to be within 30 days for general member and 60 days with status. I bet you’re just falling outside of that.
I think you’re heading in the right direction, but if I change it to say August 5th (well within 30 days). On the main search page, it shows up as available for 10K points, but then when I click through, it tells me I don’t have enough points, even though I have 20K+
For the first tries I believe you are booking too far out depending on what status you have with Choice. Its less than 60 unless you have the top level. For the closer in date try closing and restarting your browser. Choice website can be a bit funny and if you get it in a mode it might not clear.
Just for the heck of it I’d log off and back on. No other ideas if you are definitely seeing the right points showing.
Is it doing the same with other properties?
Wouldn’t have calling in been a lot quicker than writing up an entire blog post?

Elite Gold–no more than 50 days prior to arrival in your country of residence, 60 days prior to arrival at all other locations worldwide.
Elite Platinum–no more than 75 days prior to your planned arrival.
Elite Diamond member–no more than 100 days prior to arrival
Choice Privileges award on properties part of Nordic Choice Club have periodically had issues, if others are not working this may be one of those cases.
im a diamond member and i booked a stay in late august for 5 nights but it would not let me book online and i was within 75 days
so i called and no problem they booked it over the phone – you will love the location and its a nice hotel and good breakfast
I recently booked this very same hotel 60 days outdo would suggest calling!
