Historically, there have only been a few ways to follow things on Points With a Crew. Either you periodically came to the Points With a Crew website, you followed us on our free miles and points Facebook group, or you signed up for our once-daily email.
This works for most people, though occasionally we will post time-sensitive deal information (like Amazon daily deals) that is expired by the time people get it in the email the next day. Then they leave angry comments like “good job sending me this email after the deal is already expired!!!”.
How to subscribe to instant post alerts
Until now, there was nothing I could do to help these people, but now there is! You can now subscribe to instant post alerts. There isn’t a direct link to sign up, but instead, you can subscribe by clicking on the red bell that is in the bottom right of each Points With a Crew post
Clicking that will open up a window that will allow you to subscribe. You may also see a popup on the top of the page
What to expect
If you sign up for instant post alerts, you will get a message in your browser (if you sign up on a desktop) or a push notification on your mobile device (if you sign up on a mobile device). Points With a Crew typically posts about 3-5 posts per day, so if you aren’t ready or interested in that, then definitely sign up to follow Points With a Crew in one of our other formats (Facebook group, or daily email)
We currently don’t have a way to set up the system to only send out notifications for certain types of posts (like fare deals), but we’re exploring that for the future.
The pop-up is configured to track whether or not you have seen it (and dismissed it), so if you say you don’t want to receive updates, it shouldn’t show you again for awhile on that browser.
If you don’t want to sign up for instant alerts
If you don’t want to sign up for instant post alerts, that’s okay! I’m not offended! :-). These types of instant post subscriptions have become more and more prevalent over the last few months, and personally, there are very few websites that I’m interested in signing up for instant alerts.

- PointsWithACrew.com itself
- Our free miles and points Facebook group
- Our once-daily email.
