Summer of 2017 delivered huge changes when Amazon acquired Whole Foods. According Lauren Thomas of CNBC, she wrote on her article:

And Amazon promises “more to come,” as the internet giant begins to integrate Prime into the Whole Foods ecosystem. Eventually, Prime members will receive “special savings and in-store benefits.”

Well, the day is finally here. As of today, there is now a new way of earning rewards when you use your Chase Amazon credit card at Whole Foods.

Prime Members earn up to 5% cash back

That’s right. Currently, Amazon Prime Members with an Amazon Prime Rewards Signature Visa Card can earn 5% cash back when they shop at Amazon.com using their Prime Membership.

So what’s new? What actually changed?

Amazon Prime Members with Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature card can now earn 5% cash back for when they shop at Whole Foods. You can shop at Whole Foods, shop for your everyday items, and get 5% cash back whenever you use your Amazon Prime Visa.  This is huge. You can take advantage of this cash back and get the quality selection fresh produce, high quality meats, seafood, and more.

What else is new with Amazon and Whole Foods? Free two-hour delivery from its Whole Foods stores. According to Elizabeth Weise of USA Today,

Customers of the $99-a-year Amazon Prime delivery service in neighborhoods of Austin, Cincinnati, Dallas and Virginia Beach on Thursday can now order fresh produce, meat, seafood, flowers and other items that their local Whole Foods stores stock, said Stephenie Landry, vice president of Prime Now, Amazon Fresh and Amazon Restaurants.

What about non-Prime Members

No need to be sad. If you are a non-Prime Member. You will still be able to take advantage of cash back savings with the regular Amazon Rewards Visa:

All of these benefits do add up. This is something you might consider if you do a lot of your everyday grocery shopping at Whole Foods, and combine that with the Amazon Prime Visa or Amazon Rewards Visa for additional cash back. Excellent savings could be earned; savings that you use towards future Amazon Purchases.

What about you? Do you have Amazon Prime? How do you like it? What about the Amazon Visa for Prime or non-Prime members? Remember to use your Amazon Visa card on your trips to Whole Foods.
