I read this morning on The Gate that you can earn 100 free Marriott points for filling out an 8 question survey from Marriott.
I didn’t time it, but I’m guessing it took me about 10 seconds to fill out.  It took me more time to log on to Award Wallet and figure out what my Marriott number was 🙂
I know 100 points doesn’t seem like a lot, but I always try to take advantage of small deals like this – they add up!
It’s why I posted the deals where you can get 500 United miles or 500 Amtrak points for opting in to receive emails (though those deals may have been targeted). Â There’s also over 12,000 miles up for grabs with shopping portal bonuses that end THIS WEEK, if you haven’t taken advantage of those yet.
It can also extend the life of your points. Â Marriott points used to not expire, but starting this February they will expire after 24 months of inactivity, so this is a good way to keep those points from expiring!
Again, here is the link for your 100 free Marriott points.

Done. Thanks! Speaking of hotels and miles, I haven’t seen much about a method I use sometimes with American – go to their shopping portal, and route through their travel choice (on the portal, not American Airlines). For example, you can get Choice hotels for 3 miles for each dollar you spend on the reservation.

So, you could route your search through the portal (and get the miles down the road after you stay), and then also get whatever points/miles you are planning on getting with the hotel/other airline program. I did it recently and double-dipped with miles for AA (using the portal), and then United because it’s my stated partner with the hotel….
