Delta no longer has a published award chart, but that somehow doesn’t stop them from somehow offering “sales”.  Via View from the Wing, Currently they are offering a sale of up to 18% off award tickets to Asia.  Whereas the “normal” price (whatever that means) is 35,000 oneway to North Asia and 40,000 Skymiles to the rest of the issue, currently Delta is offering a sale for only 49,000 Skymiles roundtrip from the US to Asia (up to 39% off)

Fine Print on the sale

  • Purchase By December 14, 2016 (Wednesday!)
  • Travel Period January 10, 2017 through March 3, 2017
  • Blackout dates
    • China to United States: January 10-29, 2017
    • United States to China: February 3-18, 2017

The offer page lists a variety of destinations on sale including:

  • Narita
  • Haneda
  • Nagoya
  • Singapore
  • Manila
  • Taipei
  • Hong Kong
  • Beijing
  • Shanghai

Though generally with Delta, there are more than just the published list – I’d imagine most if not all flights from the US to Asia are discounted – check your rates when you book.  I do not believe that a one-way trip would count – those would count as the “regular” price (whatever that is 😀 )

You only have till Wednesday night to book if you want to – happy booking!
