Annoyingly the bonus is tiered based on your status with American Airlines

  • Member: 1500 miles for the Business membership ($45) and 3000 for a Plus membership ($100)
  • Gold and Platinum members 2000 for Business or 4000 for Plus
  • Platinum Pro, Executive Platinum and Concierge Key: 2500 miles for Business or 5000 for Plus

Targeted? Plus full terms and conditions

This does not appear to be a targeted offer and there is a landing page available on the samsclub.com website here.  The full terms and conditions are here and include

  • Existing American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holders who are not current Sam’s Club members can earn the following one-time Sign-Up Bonus
  • The Miles Promotion and Sign-Up Bonus is limited to one individual American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holder who enrolls in a new Sam’s Club membership, and additional cards or individuals added to the individual’s Sam’s Club members do not qualify the Sign-Up Bonus, regardless of whether such individuals are also American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holders
  • The Sign-Up Bonus is typically posted to the American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holder’s Account within 6 to 8 weeks of the American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holder being confirmed as a new Sam’s Club member
  • Once the American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holder is confirmed as enrolled in a Sam’s Savings or Plus membership, the American Airlines AAdvantage® Account holder who is eligible for the Sign-Up Bonus will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to enter a code in order to receive the Sign-Up Bonus. The member will then receive a confirmation e-mail from the American Airlines AAdvantage® program stating the Sign-Up Bonus has been deposited in the member’s AAdvantage® Account. The member assumes full responsibility to ensure the code provided is promptly entered in accordance these terms and conditions and any instructions in the e-mail provided by Sam’s or American Airlines in order to receive the Sign-Up Bonus

Not an amazing deal, but if you have status with American, it could be worth it.  Sam’s Club membership has been worth it to me in gift card reselling deals alone this year, including an Amex Offer that netted me over $500

Are you going to apply for Sam’s Club membership with this AA offer?
