Through September 19th, you can buy Southwest Rapid Rewards at up to 40% off. I received an email offer the other day with the subject line: “Save big on Rapid Rewards points this summer.” After clicking through the link and logging into my Rapid Rewards account, I snagged a 40% offer on purchasing Rapid Rewards points. The offer is valid through September 19th, and points can be purchased in increments of 1,000. Unfortunately, points don’t count towards A-List, A-List Preferred, or your Companion Pass. But if you already have the Pass, they can definitely come in handy!
So…is it worth it?
The lowest number of points I can purchase is 3,000 Rapid Rewards for $54. That puts me at a value of about 1.8 cents per Rapid Reward point. In the past, I’ve gotten anywhere between 1.4 cents and 2 cents per point when redeeming Rapid Rewards, so this is definitely at the higher end of the scale.

However, I love Rapid Rewards for their flexibility! When booking with points, you can cancel right up until the day of the flight, and get a full refund. I’ll happily pay a small premium to get that near-unlimited flexibility. All other things equal, I’ll always book Southwest flights on points, instead of paying cash.

No unfortunately not
Any reason why you do not have an email link? I do not…and millions of other people do not know what reddit, tumbler, instagram is.
When all one wants to do is just send the info to a family member or friend.
We don’t need the whole world to know what we had for breakfast, much less that we sent a copy of something to someone.
