card_name Welcome Offer

Credit card welcome offers are often the best way to get a decent number of miles and points. The current welcome offer is as follows:

  • Earn bonus_miles_full

This is a great savings for any business owner, though keep in mind that it does come with a annual_fees annual fee. The tiered bonus offer means that you need to keep track of two different spending thresholds and dates.

card_name overview – spending categories

The Chase World of Hyatt Business card has the following earning categories:

  • 2X points in your top three categories each quarter through 12/31/24, then your top two categories each quarter. Eligible categories include dining; airline tickets purchased directly with the airline; car rental agencies; local transit and commuting; gas stations; internet, cable and phone services; social media and search engine advertising; and shipping
  • 2X points at fitness clubs and gym memberships
  • 4X points at Hyatt

It’s nice because your bonus spending on the card is tied towards where you spend the most. That can make it easeir

card_name perks and elite status

One of the biggest perks of the Chase World of Hyatt Business card is its ability to help you get World of Hyatt elite status. In fact, you can even get top-tier Globalist status without ever staying in a Hyatt hotel at all.

  • Automatic Discoverist elite status
  • You can gift Discoverist status to up to 5 employees (they do not need to be cardholders)
  • Get 5 elite qualifying night credits every time you spend $10,000 in purchases
  • After spending $50,000 in a calendar year, you’ll get 10% back on redeemed points for the rest of that calendar year (Up to 20K points back per year).
  • If you spend $50 or more at any Hyatt property, you can get a $50 statement credit (up to two times per year, for $100 total)

If you have a lot of spending, you can spend your way to Globalist status. Or if you just need a few more nights to make it, the spending bonus can help put you over the top. The other perks can be useful as well, though remember that this card does come with a annual_fees annual fee

Other Chase cards to consider for Hyatt points

The Chase World of Hyatt Business card is subject to Chase 5/24. So if you’re over 5/24, you likely will not be approved for this card. One other thing to note is that this is a business credit card, and typically business cards do not count towards increasing your 5/24 count.

Keep in mind that Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer 1:1 to World of Hyatt points, as long as you have a premium Chase card. So if you’re trying to get World of Hyatt points, there’s a few other cards that you might consider.

The Bottom Line

If you have a qualifying business and are looking for a card with an excellent signup bonus and solid perks with no annual fee, the Chase World of Hyatt Business Card is an excellent option to consider. In addition to the welcome offer, the ability to earn 2X points in a variety of different categories and being able to spend your way towards elite status will make this a useful card for many. It’s almost certainly worth applying for in the first year (for the Hyatt points in the welcome offer) – whether it will be worth paying the annual_fees annual fee in the second year will depend on how valuable the other perks are for you.
