A couple of people over at the Points With a Crew miles and points Slack channel shared an interesting tidbit with me last night.  Apparently some people are getting a 10,000 mile bonus in their Alaska account related to the merger with Virgin America.  I checked my account and…

I am not sure what exactly this bonus is about, but check your account to see if you got one!  Perhaps it’s related to the fact that I got an email mentioning my accounts were linked?  I checked my wife’s account and even though she is also a Virgin America account holder, she did not get the 10K bonus

Unfortunately, at least at this point it looks like there is no way to get the extra 10,000 miles if you didn’t get them.  If you’ve had luck calling in to get the miles or retroactively linking your accounts, let us know in the comments
