As longtime readers know, I’m a big fan of things like this where you can earn a small amount of miles very quickly.  It can help you keep your miles from expiring as well as start building up your balances.  This can also help you save

Today’s offer is 1000 miles for taking a short quiz from Aeroplan (Air Canada)

Thankfully it doesn’t seem to matter if you get the question wrong or not, but all the answers are “Myth”, according to Aeroplan 🙂  After you take the 5 question quiz, you put in your Aeroplan number.  I track all my numbers using Award Wallet, which was #1 on my list of Top 10 miles and points tools AND won my March Mayhem miles and points tool challenge.

Uses of Air Canada Aeroplan miles

Aeroplan actually has a decent award chart that complements some of its other Star Alliance partners

For instance, it’s much cheaper (in terms of number of miles) to fly Lufthansa First Class using Aeroplan miles (70,000) than United miles (110,000). The downside is that they do charge fuel surcharges.

I also used Air Canada miles to book a last minute flight for my sister on United to avoid the 21 day last minute $75 fee

Of course, then she went and missed the flight 🙂
