Got a reminder email this morning about the current refer a friend bonus opportunity over at Ebates.  The normal bonus is $5 for referring someone to Ebates (though they often have promotions), but they currently have a tiered bonus where you can earn $20 extra for your first 2 friends, or $50 total for referring 2 people

It’s free to join and you’ll want to be a member of Ebates in order to take advantage of their shopping portal bonuses.  They aren’t always the highest, but they are often enough that it’s useful to have an account.

And while I assume they have protections in place to prevent abuse, there’s nothing that would stop you from referring say a spouse.

Ebates refer a friend fine print

  • A “Qualified Referral” is a new member of Ebates referred by you that signs up at Ebates.com and makes purchases totaling $25 or more that earn Cash Back within one year following signing up.
  • Ebates will pay you a $5 “Base Bonus” for each such Qualified Referral.
  • For the referral period starting July 1, 2017 and ending September 30, 2017, you could earn $50 (2 x $5 Base Bonus + an additional $40 bonus) on your second Qualified Referral

Where to share your Ebates referral links

Like we did for our Chase Sapphire Refer a friend links and Chase Ink Preferred refer a friend links, we will share Ebates referral links over on the Points With a Crew miles and points Facebook group

If you haven’t joined the Points With a Crew miles and points Facebook group yet, you’re definitely missing out – we have about 3,000 members talking miles, points and travel on a daily basis.  Not to mention yesterday you missed the story of how an enterprising high school coach managed to change a passenger’s name on a Spirit Airlines ticket (hint: it’s hilarious)
