It seems like everyone is trying to get a piece of your holiday shopping dollars. In addition to the shopping portal bonuses we announced earlier today, Hyatt has just announced an offer where you can get a $25 statement credit for $500 in spending on Telecom (internet, phone, cable services), shipping, movie theaters and grocery stores in both November and December. If you meet the spending offer in both months, you should pick up $50 in statement credits. Even if you have other cards you’re spending on or looking to meet the minimum spend offer on another card, it would seem to make sense to put some spend on this card this fall. Even buying gift cards at a grocery store (if you live in an area where that’s an option) since you’re essentially getting 5% back!
Where to get the Hyatt credit card (and 60,000 Hyatt points)
If you don’t already have the Hyatt card already, you probably have enough time to still get an extra $50 from signing up for it now and registering for this promo before the end of November
You can currently get 60,000 Hyatt points after spending $3000 in the first 3 months and $6000 in the first 6 months. This is the highest welcome offer we’ve seen to date for this card.
World of Hyatt Card spending offer terms
Note that you DO need to register for this offer before spending, and as always, I recommend at least registering for the offer even if you don’t think you’ll make the spend
Here are the official terms and conditions aka fine print of the spending offer
- Beginning November 1 to November 30, 2018, Cardmembers who spend $500 across multiple purchases on Telecomm (internet, phone, cable services), shipping, movie theaters and grocery stores in the U.S. on their World of Hyatt Credit Card or Hyatt Credit Card can earn a $25 statement credit on their Chase account.
- Furthermore, from December 1 to December 31, 2018, cardmembers can earn a second $25 statement credit for spending $500 in qualifying transactions of the same spend category on their World of Hyatt Credit Card or Hyatt Credit Card.
- Cardmembers must register for the promotion with their World of Hyatt Credit Card or Hyatt Credit Card between October 29 and November 30, 2018 and spend $500 in qualifying transactions each month in order to qualify for both statement credits.
- Only two $25 statement credits can be earned per cardmember within the promotion period (one in each month), and they will appear in their Chase account within 6 to 8 weeks after meeting the $500 spend threshold each month.
