I’m a big fan of free miles and points in any way that you can get them. Sure it may be 500 points here, 1000 points there, but over time it adds up. I just got a direct message from La Quinta on Twitter giving out 1500 La Quinta points
I have no idea if this is targeted or if this was sent to everyone and anyone that follows them on Twitter, but I thought I’d throw it out there to see if anyone else got this. Check your Direct Messages on Twitter
And if you don’t follow La Quinta on Twitter, you might try following them – maybe they’ll hook you up later this week or next time if they give out points like this.
The link in the message goes to the La Quinta Redeem Away page. I’ve written about this program before but you can get 1,500 points when you link your Visa credit card and your mobile number to your LQ account. Good through 12/31/17. It should go without saying that you should not use your 1500 points to buy a cup of coffee. Free nights start at 6000 points / night – I’d save up for that. La Quinta points do expire, but I’ve had pretty good luck calling in to get them extended when La Quinta points expire.

I got 1500 LQ points on Sep. 28/ 2017 for “Social Rewards.” I may have received their e-mail OR seen it here. (Thank you!) But Award Wallet thinks it did not extend my expiry. They’re showing 6/15/18 as the expiry date vs. 3/28/19.
