Occasionally I see some interesting travel related products being crowd funded that I think you guys might be interested in. We’ve talked about Fluent Forever (an app to learn languages), and the Voyage Travel Bag among others. Here’s a few of the travel related crowd funded projects that I’ve seen
Travel related kickstarters:

Today I wanted to talk a bit about Nomatic – which bills itself as the most functional messenger and laptop bags ever
Nomatic Messenger and Laptop bag features
A good bag is an essential feature of any traveler’s arsenal. I almost always travel without checked bags and have a hard-shell carryon that I generally use. If I’m traveling for a short time though, here are times though that I will travel without even that – and just travel with my laptop backpack
This is the CODI laptop backpack that I used to use…. until it got stolen in Athens 🙁
So I’m always on the lookout for a good bag
The 2 bags are mostly the same – the big difference is the size – the Messenger bag holds 15 liters while the Laptop bag holds 10 liters. The Messenger bag has all the features found in the Laptop bag, plus a few added features as well.

Nomatic backing levels and cost
The Nomatic messenger and laptop bag is already fully funded on Kickstarter ($750,000 out of the $100,000 goal), and you can sign up to back the project for a few more weeks – through April 20th. Here are a few of the levels that you can back the project at
- $119 for an Early Bird for the Laptop bag
- $169 for an Early Bird for the Messenger bag (only 10 left at the time of this post; then $189)
- $288 for a combo with one each of the laptop and messenger bag
Again, here is the link to back the Nomatic laptop and messenger bag kickstarter – you have until April 20th to back it

I have both their travel bag and travel pack. Using the travel pack for my current backpack for work while the travel bag will be used on a few trips that require more of a duffel bag type of bag instead of a roller carry-on.
I also put in my pledge for the super early bird messenger bag and extra for the laptop bag.
Love all of their products and their usefulness in all the use cases I have.
