Alaska Airlines is back with more first class deals between California and Texas. Earlier this week I posted about Bay area deals to Austin and Dallas; those deals are mostly still alive, and now San Diego has joined the mix. The bigger discount is for Austin, but the absolute lower price is for Dallas. Fares are good originating in either direction, great news for both states. These fares are good from late August until early November, for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday travel. If you’re willing to put out another $40, the Dallas deal is good into next year. Note that the Dallas airport is Love Field, so this might not be great for positioning to international flights from DFW.

If you’d rather save the cash and/or you earn a lot of Chase Ultimate Rewards, the Dallas deal is just 18,440 UR in the Chase travel portal with the Sapphire Reserve. That’s a pretty great redemption while earning 4,000 Alaska miles.

First class means two free checked bags and, of course, seat selection. According to FT, these flights are operated on Embraer 175s, which is a pretty comfortable domestic first class seat. Especially if you get the “A” side – a single seat that is both “aisle” and “window”.

These deals are bookable directly with Alaska or with online travel agencies. When searching on Google Flights look for “business” class, and on OTAs search for “first” class. Given this is a nice discount from regular pricing (~$450 – $650) I’d book sooner rather than later if this deal works for you.
