This isn’t the first time WOW has wow’d us…ok I’ll quit while I’m ahead…

Back in April, WOW Air offered a similar 30% off promotion – now they’re back again, and we hope they’ll keep doing it!

Promo Code WOWTREAT – 30% Off WOW Air!

Check out the offer here!

WOW Air is a low cost carrier based in Iceland, with an expanding footprint in the US.  Currently, they serve Boston, Pittsburgh, New York, Baltimore/DC, Dallas, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Orlando, San Fransisco, and Los Angeles.  Unfortunately, this promotion only works for eligible roundtrips from some of those cities – Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Pittsburgh, St. Louis or DC.  You must be flying a roundtrip to Iceland, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Frankfurt, Gran Canaria, London, Milan, New Delhi, Paris or Tenerife.

You must book by November 2nd for travel from November 1st through March 31st, 2019.  The fine print excludes “Christmas.”  If you’re thinking that’s vague, I agree.  Let’s assume that means the week around Christmas…this is still almost 5 months of travel to use the promotion for, as long as it’s booked soon!

WOW Air has suspended flights to Cleveland and Cincinnati as of October 26th of this year.  We’re not sure about Cincinnati, but WOW is anticipating coming back to Cleveland for the busy summer travel season in 2019.  WOW expanded to the two American cities in May of 2018, so these routes were short lived!  Looks like they’ll be keeping Detroit and St. Louis for now, and both cities are eligible for the current promotion.

Similar to IcelandAir, WOW offers a free stopover in Iceland, through their home airport of Reykjavik.  When booking, this is an option you can select, adding a few extra days on either the departing flight or returning flight (but not both).  If you’re interested in booking an Iceland stopover, check out the details here.

The most interesting thing to me is that WOW Air calls out roundtrips to New Delhi in the promotion.  New Delhi is an eligible city.  From Boston, through Reykjavik, to New Delhi is over 16,000 miles roundtrip.

The WOWTREAT promotion worked, and although I won’t be going anytime soon, I found tickets for $400 roundtrip from Boston to New Delhi over February vacation!  It’s up to you if you want to put yourself through the gauntlet on a low cost carrier for 33 hours of airtime!  (my knees hurt just thinking about it…)
