Gogo is probably the leading provider of in-flight wifi access on (domestic) airlines.  It is available on almost all of the airlines that you’re typically going to be flying if you’re flying here in the United States

Pricing

Gogo has several different pricing models, ranging from 1 hour to unlimited monthly passes.

gogo-pricing I was confused at first by the difference between the $59.95 and $49.95 plans, but that’s mostly because I can’t read :-).  The $49.95 one works only on a specific airline, whereas the $59.95 one works on all airlines.

I know that there are promo codes usually that might let you save a bit, but in doing a bit of searching, I couldn’t find one that actually seems to work.  I don’t use Gogo enough to be able to say if there is a way to get it cheaper – if you have any tips, leave them in the comments.

Which airlines are missing?

The one domestic airline that’s missing is one of the largest and that’s Southwest.  I first noticed that because I have a Gogo coupon, and a Southwest flight, and was wondering if/how I could use it, and the answer is no 🙂

Southwest actually offers free access to certain TV shows and movies via a partnership with DISH Network, and also offers wifi access for $8 / day.
