As I wrote a week ago, Delta announced 6 new transatlantic routes for next summer. These new routes are now bookable online. Act fast if you want to take your family to Europe next summer. Award spaces are wide open, as low as 30,000 Skymiles in coach and 70,000 Skymiles in Delta One business class each way.

I looked up award space from Los Angeles to Amsterdam in June 2018 for a family of four using Delta’s flexible calendar. Many dates have the low-level awards available in both coach and Delta One business class!

Seats on the return flights are a bit more challenging on the nonstop flight.  The month of August is better than June and July. So act now if you do want to take the family on a European summer vacation!

Here’s what award spaces look like for four people from JFK to Azore in both Delta One business class and regular economy:

And from Atlanta to Lisbon seats are widely available for a family of four in coach.

I know many people have sour feelings about Delta and its Skymile program. But I am constantly amazed by the amount of coach awards Delta made available compared to American and United. In the world of miles and points, it pays to diversify as you never know which points or mile program will come in handy.

Are you taking the family to Europe next summer on one of Delta’s new routes?
