Monday’s deal is 10,000 Best Western points for $55, same as last year. The math’s a little difficult on this one 😀 but this is a valuation of 0.55 cpp. The package goes on sale at 1PM EST. You can access the sale and details here. Depending where you spend these points, there is certainly value to be had.
Details of offer

- A maximum of five (5) packages per loyalty number, so a maximum of 50,000 points.
- A total of 835 packages available.
- Within ten (10) to fifteen (15) business days of purchase, you’ll have 10,000 Best Western Rewards points deposited into the Best Western Rewards account that you provide at time of purchase, to use however you choose.
Finding value in Best Western points
Best Western doesn’t publish an award chart. But reward nights range from 8,000 points to 36,000 points per night, in increments of 4,000 points. There are some high value redemption opportunities with Best Western Rewards points. But it all depends on where and when you travel.
Paid rooms at Best Western hotel in the U.S. are often very cheap! Using points might not be worth it in most cases, even at a discount. Personally, I have never stayed at a Best Western hotel. But Dan and his family stayed at Best Western in Indianapolis in 2015 and it was nice, even though it took 5 (FIVE!) tries to get them to honor their Best Rate Guarantee. Since there were 8 of them and they needed 2 rooms, they booked the other room on points – 12,000 points in comparison to a room rate that was about $80.
Outside the U.S., it is a different story. Over 50% of Best Western hotels are located overseas. Best Western’s international hotels are where you could find the best value for its points. For example, at Hotel Kung Karl in Stockholm Sweden, a member of BW Premier Collection, one night in June will cost 36,000 points, just below $200 if using points purchased today. But if you pay cash, the nonrefundable rate will be 2,315 SEK, or about $255 before taxes and fees.
You can find similar savings at Best Western hotels in Paris, London, and other cities all over Europe.
Conclusion
There are value to be had with Best Western points, most are for hotels located outside of U.S. And it also depends when and where you will be traveling.

I have found that when using BW points, they’re usually worth about half a US cent each, making this a neutral/ mediocre deal. But there are sweet spots such as high-demand days where it can pay off. I’ll probably buy 20K to go with my existing 4K to get a 24K room night somewhere someday.
I’ll definitely try out this deal and see it’s worth it.
I went to dailygetaways.com after posting above, but it was already SOLD OUT! Naomi & I were too late 🙁 !
The post actually came out the morning of the sale, and before the sale took place. Yeah popular deals sell out fast, and some in a matter of minutes.
