As many longtime readers of PWaC know, I’m a big fan of free and easy miles and points that different chains periodically give away. They aren’t usually a ton of points, but every bit adds up, and in many (but not all) cases, they can help to extend the expiration date of your points as well.
There are currently 2 different promotions being run by different hotel chains offering 1500 points
1500 free La Quinta points
Via Deals we Like, La Quinta is giving out 1500 La Quinta points as part of a new promotion called La Quinta Redeem Away.
Redeem Away is for Visa cardholders only. To get your 1500 La Quinta points, you have to enroll, give them your phone number. You will get a text message and have to reply “BONUS” to get your 1500 points
You’ll link your Visa card and once you do, you will be eligible to redeem your LQ points for a variety of other things. I don’t know that any of those would be good redemptions, but it depends on how many LQ points you have and how close you are to a La Quinta hotel. Personally I have a stash of them from the good ol’ Stay and Play game that I haven’t been able to use yet 😉
1500 Marriott Rewards points
Via Doctor of Credit, you can also get 1500 Marriott Rewards points for linking your various social media accounts with Marriott
Just visit the Marriott promotion site, and you’ll get 500 Marriott Rewards points for linking your Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. Remember that Marriott points can be transferred 3:1 to SPG points, so that’s another option. You will also get 50 points for following Marriott on Twitter and Instagram (so it’s actually 1600 points total)
