Wait? Wasn’t I just talking about easy ways to get free points in under a minute? Last night, it was getting 150 Starwood / SPG points for setting up security questions on your account. Today it’s 300 La Quinta points for…. doing nothing?
La Quinta offers these types of promotions every few months. I believe they’re sent out in an email and you’re “supposed to” watch a 3 minute promotional video. This time though, someone has found the direct link to enter in your member information
I’m also including the directions for watching the video below, in case the direct link is shut down.
300 is not a ton of points (obviously), but you can either use them to keep your LQ account active, or transfer them via Points.com.
You can choose any one of 3 links
One interesting thing is that these points did not appear to extend the life of my account. I actually reached out to La Quinta last time they had this offer, and the phone agent confirmed to me that they ARE SUPPOSED to keep your account active
The points say they’ll post in 2-4 weeks, but my experience has been that they post automatically
If you’re up for other possible offers like this, here’s a list of ones I’ve written about in the past few months: 150 free SPG points (in about 60 seconds), How to get 200 Starwood points for free in 60 seconds, 100 Free Marriott points – takes 10 seconds, 500 Free La Quinta points in under a minute, 1000 Free AAdvantage miles (takes 2 minutes), 500 United miles for opting in to emails, and 500 bonus Amtrak points for opting in to emails (targeted?) (some of these may be expired by now)
300 points isn’t much, but neither is 10 seconds – are you going to watch?
