Here are the final four teams for Travel Hacking March Mayhem

Last week, in honor of the NCAA Tournament, I started a 16 “team” tournament so that we could figure out the best travel tool out there.  I took 16 different tools, seeded them from #1-16, and entered them into a tournament.bracket.  Here were the original matchups

• Thursday March 17th – #1 Award Wallet vs. #16 Boingo Wifi and #6 Rome2Rio vs. #11 Check My Trip
• Friday March 18th – #8 FlyerMiler vs. #9 Seatguru and #2 Autoslash vs. #15 Osmand
• Saturday March 19th – #3 Google Flights / ITA Matrix vs. #14 Cashback Monitor and #5 Award Mapper vs. #12 Expert Flyer
• Sunday March 20th – #7 Hotel Hustle vs. #10 Flight Aware and #4 Airline Route Mapper vs. #13 The Flight Deal

Then we had 4 second round games, and the voters have spoken, and we are down to the final four teams

• #1 Award Wallet defeated #9 SeatGuru, 76% – 24%
• #2 Autoslash defeated #10 Flight Aware, 67% – 33%
• #3 Google Flights / ITA Matrix defeated #6 Rome2Rio, 89% – 11%
• #12 Expert Flyer LOST to #13 The Flight Deal, 73% to 27%

That leaves us the following bracket

We’re left with a pretty “chalk” bracket, with the top 3 seeds all making it to the final 4.

Here is our schedule for this upcoming week, where we will finally crown the “Top travel hacking tool!”

• Thursday, March 31st – #2 Autoslash vs. #3 Google Flights / ITA Matrix
• Friday, April 1st – #1 Award Wallet vs. #13 The Flight Deal
• Sunday, April 3rd – Championship game!
